An Online Collaborative White Board
What is it?
Twiddla is a free web based interactive whiteboard.
To get started, anyone can go to the site and click create a new meeting!
Once logged into a new meeting, students, coworkers, and friends can simultaneously work on projects together from anywhere in the world. It's as simple as sending a link to whomever you want to add.
What can you do?
1. You can chat with people in the group.
2. You can upload images for all to see simultaneously.
3. You can upload documents for all to see simultaneously.
4. You can actively edit documents through Etherpad.
5. You can bring up a website for all to see simultaneously and browse on.
6. You can write on everything as though it were a white board.
What can you do with it in the classroom?

Assign a home group research project using Twiddla as the means of communication and collaboration.

In a classroom with computer access allow the students to be in a virtual meeting room taking notes and jotting down questions during the lecture.

Students can make a thought map writing down key phrases during the class.

Students can create an outline or summary of the material together while in class.

In an esl classroom, the teacher could bring up a street map and have students type directions while others draw the lines following them.

Students can create an ongoing vocabulary list throughout the class that the teacher can refer to later.
